The Fermi Paradox — Where Are All The Aliens? (1/2)

  • The universe is unbelievably big – trillions of stars and even more planets. Soo… there just has to be life out there, right? But where is it? Why don’t we see any aliens? Where are they? And more importantly, what does this tell us about our own fate in this gigantic and scary universe?

I'm constantly trying to tell my friends who are basically dumb which is everyone that if we don't make it off this rock our species is doomed

Do you want to know the solution to the Fermi Paradox. It's simple. "They never got off their Home Planet"

Ever since I was a child I believed that the probability of us being the only 'smart' life form in the universe is 0. There HAS to be some planet somewhere even in the far reaches of the ever expanding universe where there are other life forms. I just cannot imagine that with those nearly infinite different planets and infinite different conditions Earth is the only place where life would exist.

Maybe Fermi paradox is another example of we are living in a simulation.

No there is alien life, the star wars happened in a galaxy far far away, remember?

Everything indicates that we live in simulation. Maybe after a major update they are loading aliens?

Perspective is key people. There are so many ant colonies in the middle of nowhere in a desert for millions of years where no human has ever step foot. They would think the same about being alone.. until a human comes along and destroys it. Woops

  • R LOCK
    R LOCK   2 days ago

A type 3 civilization wouldn't care about us. A type 3 only cares about other type 3's which there are probably a lot of. People also forget that "human" life has only been around for a small fraction of earths life. The odds of aliens discovering us this quickly is way too low....apparently. Let's hope we stay lucky and they don't discover us. Would an ant colony want a human to discover them? Most likely NOPE.

Mi teoría sobre el futuro es el siguiente: seremos capaces de crear inteligencia artificial lo suficientemente inteligente como para sobrevivir y colonizar otros planetas, ¿a qué costo? nosotros los humanos, dejaremos de existir.

There are probably aliens with human technologies but are 50million light years away. So maybe it will take another 50 million years before we get to see them.

10,000 stars for every grain of sand on earth? That is a pretty mindblowing fact for me, right there. Wow.

  • theworldisdying andnobodycares

The aliens are probably proving how smart they are by staying as far away from this massive mess of a species called Homo Sapiens. We are a very war mongering species. Doesn't matter what region of the planet you're from this is true for all. We all want to fight each other instead of talking our issues into a peaceful conclusion. As an intelligent species who knows how truly stupid that is, would you want anything to do with us?

I dont even care that im late I came hear because dead space has really been on my mind and I thought one night that the universe is so large that something similar to a necromorph and an outbreak like that is probably out there somewhere. What if humanity makes it past an extinction event and then these buggers come and they end us all.Edit: also what if they are the final filter for humanity and everything else.

  • just another account

Why do we look for life in “habitable” planets? Surely life can live anywhere, i mean we found life at the deepest point in our ocean which is insane. Also why do we look for water on planets to determine if there is life there? I have so many questions. For all we know, DNA and RNA could only be something that’s occurred on earth, aliens might be silicon based life forms and not carbon based. Aliens could be made up of anything, they might not even have cells like we do
