Puertoricans believe in the “evil eye” too! When babies are born we buy them an azavache and put it in a necklace or bracelet to protect them from the “evil eye”. Both of my kids wear it and I even have an evil eye in front of my door, so that when you leave my house, if you have bad intentions it will come back to you.

I am Sicilian and a lot of Maniscalcos acts are funny as all get out but a lot of Sicilian crapola is witchcraft, superstition... old wives tales and not to be accepted and messed with... You have to understand many Italians from the main land or Sicily are Roman Catholics but are not necessarily Christians so... steer clear of the hocus pocus ... stick with your Bible...and enjoy the humor.

Mexicans believe in the evil eye. We use an egg to clean yourself from the curse and they you crack the egg in water. Wear a red bracelet or a deer eyes to protect yourself from getting the evil eye. If you have a baby and someone looks at them too much, they have to do a cross on their forehead or else the baby won't sleep or stop crying. Porque le hicieron ojo!!!
