Warranties are definitely worth it. Depends on what you get obviously. I paid 5 dollars extra a month on my payment for wheel and tire coverage. In 5 years I got 4 tires a year priced at 250 per tire FOR FREE. Bc it was under warranty. This is Chevy and Chevy is one of the best. And this dealership is on of the best on east coast. I also had other stuff done and the warranty covered it no questions no fights so easy. I never paid for an oil change in the 5 years. Never paid anything but gas. Oh and bought some wipers just bc didn’t feel like going to dealership.

I watch a ton of your vids. Great show tons of info, and you actually know the cars you talk about. I watch some other car shows but you can tell the people talking to you are just good looking people in there 20's reading a script.I still get some value from there shows but when I need real car info I watch your show. I always check to see if you have anything to say about a paticular car before i buy.

I bought a 91 Explorer in 2003 for just $600. It had new tires and brakes and had the Freon updated. It was a 5 speed with the V6 and all manual controls. It had 200k on it and wasn't a looker but it ran good. I put another 100k on it with only normal maintenance and sold it for $600 2 years later. Wish I had kept it for a beater.

I lucked out. A family man put up his 98 Corolla Csi Sedan 5sp manual on facebook marketplace for $1600. It's only driven 96,000 miles. He is the only owner and is sad to let it go but he has no choice because his wife can't drive manual. The car hasn't got a single scratch on it, the interior is just like new and the paint is flawless. It's a credit to this man for how well he's looked after it.I assured the good man that I'm an honest and caring person, I'm just an ordinary university student that needed a good conservative car that will last me my time in school. We've exchanged contact numbers with each other and by his request he's asked if we good get in touch every once in a while just to see how the car is holding up. I wholeheartedly agreed and told him I will not let him down.

I bought my first car (2002 mercury cougar) a couple of months ago and there seems to be no problem with it. I love it but it drives a little bumpy (not really a problem though) I got it for $1000

Scotty I watch a lot of your videos and love to learn from them. I’ve been driving an 05 grand am for the past year and I’ve put about a grand into it. Which small sized sedans have the best long lasting transmissions?

I recently bought a lexus is200 1999 model , for £900 ! The engine and feel to drive at 122,000 miles feels better than alot of new cars i drive as a valeter . Some paint flaking lower down body but 95% of body looks great. Best £900 i ever spent !

Lexus timing belt? If it is the same configuration as the original 3.0L V-6, it is not that hard to do compared to many other engines. Getting a cam lock is a good tip. Make sure you have all the tools you need and be ready to take your time with it, if necessary. Also, it is a good idea to change everything. A complete OEM kit, with a water pump might run you $300 or more. And you should replace all the seals at the same time.I had 2.2l 4cyl Camry and just changed the belt and all the seals, because all three of them were leaking. I don't recommend doing it this way, but I did it that way because I am an advanced DIY'er and I was prepared to do it again if necessary if the water pump started leaking or the idlier or tensioner started making noise.Just be very thorough and study the videos before you do anything. If you have a Honda, four or six, the job is going to be more difficult and you absolutely want to replace all parts because all timing belt Hondas are interference engines. Having a good timing belt means peace of mind. Nothing wrong with a timing belt. A timing belt engine allows you to replace all parts on the front of the engine at one tiime. Then you know they will all be good for the designated life of the belt, if you use OEM quality parts and install correctly.

Never pay less than $2,500. these days. Never buy a car with over 150,000 miles. Never buy a car that has a rubber timing belt. Only a car with a proper timing chain is a good investment. Rear wheel drive is also better than front wheel drive. Front wheel drive transmissions are junk.
