I tested Costco, AC Delco, Sunbeam and IKEA near the end of the rechargeable AA battery video. Thanks for watching! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0A1GvQ40j0Q

As of late, Harbor Fart has been busy polishing their turds and raising their prices. Their batteries have gotten to the same price point as name brands. Thanks for pointing out that they are just over priced junk.

I think that Harbor Freight and Dollar General zinc/carbon batteries against all the other brands ALKALINE batteries was not a comparable test ! That's why the Harbor and Dollar brands are sold at 4 for $1.00 or less !

I use the Energizer AA batteries for remote control and kids gaming controllers and flash lights long lasting but for AAA's I use the Amazon basics on ground lights around the yard and some remote control and games they really shine in the ground lights last about 5 months out side they normally come with the rechargeable battery but the Amazon battery is way better so I would love to see the AAA's test I find that interesting thanks Awesome work

Most important factor for me is chemical leakage when forgot to remove it in storage. Ruined a few expensive devices even using good brands. Good quality rechargeable batteries don't seem to leak as much though.

When I was a kid we would always get Duracell I always thought that they would have 10 years of battery because it said 10 year warranty but then my mom told me that it meant if we stored them for 10 years they would still work

I used to by the very local battery in my country that only cost 10 cent I think. Compare to the Duralcell which is way better with 80 cent/each.

Another excellent test.... but i would have loved to have seen harbor freight's thunderbolt edge battery tested. They can be found for $5 an 18 pack and claim to "last as long as the competition".

Awesome video!! I use rechargeables all the time, but it is most important for me if the batteries can hold a charge without use for a very long time, and do not degrade in capacity over time, which the eneloop batteries have beaten every other I've tried by a LONG shot. Unfortunately neither test would be feasible here, but that's ok b/c my eneloops keep on kick'n!

There are many type of Energizer Alkaline batteries in the market. Can you please give me a link to the ones you have mentioned or a picture of package? Also I have heard Amazon Basics are not what they used to be in 2020.

I've always bought Duracell over energizer. Funny how people get to be so brand loyal. Maybe I'll change now. I would like to set rechargeable AA batteries tested. Also 18650s

You should try the new Duracell or redo this test and the amazon battery according to reviews have lesser life than before

My question is are rechargeable batteries really the better buy over standard alkaline when factoring in start up costs including a charger and the amount of batteries needed? Even on amazon, an energizer charger and 12 aa batteries runs about 40 dollars. For 40 dollars I can just about get 2 of the 48 packs of standard energizers. I truly wonder if the start up costs and the electric it cost to recharge the rechargeables, is the better buy, or just buy the standards and dispose of them...

I've heard the amazon basics are a kind of rebranded eneloop, and they seem to perform similarly on tests according to the internet. It'd be cool to see how well rechargeable batteries hold up over time.

I’ve always use the energizer lithium, I do a lot of hiking and camping as well as search and rescue operations. They beat out all alkaline batteries in extreme heat and cold, they’re lightweight, they last at least twice as long and they never leak and destroy equipment. Those factor in and of themselves make it a better value battery for me, your mileage may vary.
