I don't throw my waste oil in my neighbors yard any more because my well water started tasting bad,and even looked darker after many years. Turns out i have been polluting half the neighbors. Sure glad i moved away! I've heard they condemned many wells lately.

Use OEM stock oil filters. Oil test folks have confirmed that OEM is better than the aftermarket ones.

The synthetic oil is not thinner. Viscosity is viscosity whether it is conventional or synthetic. Synthetic has better flow characteristics because of the uniformity in size of the molecules.

Never understood why you have to warm up your oil for an oil change your oil was already warm when last time you drove it and you wanted to be down into the oil pan not still in the engine.

Recommended video. But just a second hang on there. Did I not just hear you say that most modern cars are low to the ground and then you went on to say your only changing the oil so you don't need Jack stands because you won't get crushed. Because if the Jack fails the car wheels will hit the ground. And you can still get out. 🤔 Some really bad advice there Scotty You where just to lazy to get your Jack stands out.

On some cars were the oil filter screws vertical up into the engine good idea to fill it with oil... it takes 12 seconds on most cars for the oil to go from the bottom of the engine to the top..

That is wrong, you do not measure the amount of oil that came out because how the hell do you know if the car is burning it? Then you put the wrong amount of oil in and you are fucked

Hey Scotty, noob here. You didn't use torque wrench to tight drain plug. Is this practice safe in long run?

My jeep has been standing for 2 weeks. It was due for an oil change. Can I drain the oil that’s been sitting & probably all in the sump now. I don’t want to start it to warm it for a better flow & don’t want dirty oil circulating in all the chambers. I can let it drain for long even. What’s your thoughts on this.

Dont bother checking what came out unless you know what went in...... or know ome level.... what if the sump was upgraded? What about internal filters? No mention of checking for solids? Not even recommending a magnetic sump plug ?? Are you even up to date with modern tech??? Sorry ":(

I buy the Walmart super Tech full synthetic oil for around $15.00. I buy the Motorcraft filter for another $5.00. $20.00 for oil and filter change. Not a bad deal.
