Scotty, please study oil technology at least a little bit before you make another in same statement like this. A vegetable base motor oil does not mix with a mineral base motor oil. You can destroy an engine by mixing those two types of oil even if they are the same viscosity, and same standard according to their markings. I have watched engines destroyed by people who thought that they would get the best out of different types of oil by mixing them. Some of these oils react to each other in a very destructive way as the engine is concerned.A standard mineral-based motor oil can be mixed with synthetic as long as the synthetic is made from a standard mineral-based motor oil. I'm not sure how this Pennzoil that's made from natural gas work's with other motor oils however. Just for your edification by the way the Nazis were manufacturing synthetic oil from natural gas during World War II. So this is not any kind of a new technology that requires the soil to be pricey in any way shape or form. But there are oils on the market that are vegetable base motor oils. And they do not mix well with mineral base. The only oil where the manufacturer tells you everything about their oil and all of their test procedures and everything else that you could possibly want to know about their oil is Amsoil.

Scotty, you are an average mechanic at best...10% mechanics, 90% infotainment. Glad it's making money for you, but you show very little in the way of common sense or mechanical ability. How in the FU** do you find anything in thit sh*thole you call a garage? Wow. Ok best of luck.

When I worked at the motorcycle shop years ago, when two-strokes were popular, we had to rebuild several engines when the owners mixed a certain synthetic 2-stroke oil with petroleum based oil. The mix turned to gel and would not flow through the oil injection pumps. I've had varying results with different oils in my personal vehicles, but nothing that caused engines to self-destruct.

You know why those aftermarket halfshafts & CV joints are only around $75? It's because they're ALL made in China with cheap Chinese steel. I would try to get a rebuilt halfshaft which the rebuilder used American parts, although these days, those are also hard to find. My mechanic told me horror stories about those cheap Chinese halfshafts and I believe him.

The weird thing though is the oem parts from the dealer costs so much i ended up using parts like megan, bosch, power stop, denso. Denso is factory oem parts if you can find it buy it oem is good but there are aftermarket parts that exceed oem standards especially in yhis modern technology age a lot of parts made now are way better than what the dealer has to offer for older vehicles

Im 34 and wanted certain vehicle when i was younger so bought it and have it as a fun driver. 2002 accord v6 and im very picky about quality, when i bought it i flushed all the fluids and replaced it with factory fluids and replaced a few parts just for the heck of it because certain things are known to fail and can cause damage i rather not deal with. Had the car for like 6yrs and never had any issues at all with it, knock on wood. Take care of your vehicle and your vehicle takes care of you.

If you change your oil regularly, then almost any oil will do. For the long term, use synthetics only and use the lightest oil you can. I live in the Sun Belt with -0- hard freezes, so 5w50 synthetic is the way to go. Up north you want lighter oils, of course. The key thing is never to use additives...I once used additives to help my Vega; they were great until the engine froze, for good...

My 2005 Toyota Avalon has run only on Mobil 1 full synthetic since I got it. I bought it in 2010 with 120,000 miles. It currently has 267,000 miles and running like new. I change the oil every 10,000 miles. I think you’re wrong on this.
