How to make Japanese Shoyu Ramen - 醬油ラーメンの作り方

  • Published on: 08 June 2019
  • Hello, in this video I will show you how to make traditional Japanese Shoyu Ramen from scratch using all-natural ingredients, with no MSG added.

Shoyu Ramen is the most common type of Ramen in Japan, the soup is a clear, brown broth flavored with soy sauce (shoyu). In my recipe the taste of the soup is clear and light, while packing great taste and umami. The total preparation time for this ramen is about 2 days for making dashi and also to make marinated eggs (ajitama).

This video shows in detail all the steps needed to create these:
    1) Chashu
    2) Ajitama (Flavoured Egg)
    3) Ramen Sauce / Tare
    4) Ramen Soup (Made with Chicken Stock)
    5) Hand-Made Noodle

Hope you enjoy the video. Please subscribe for more videos. Thank you!

Wish he mentioned some of the marinade would be used later and to SAVE it... maybe I would not have already dumped mine down the sink 😂

Great pleasure to watch the whole thing, but Jesus that's quite a lot of work for a bowl of noodle. I would rather eat in the ramen restaurant instead.

Making ramen this complicated would not make sense outside the purpose of making a YouTube video.

Looks mighty delicious and I could also smell the aroma. However I don’t have 2 days during one of my late cravings. Instant ramen.

What did you do with the chicken after it's been boiled? Personally, I would deep fry it once it's a bit dry and make it lechon style chicken.

Plastic spoon/holder is not a good choice as it can melt anytime it comes in contact with the hot metal

In chinatown i go to the best ramen joint in north america and they are 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. They have 2 locations one in my hometown and the other in Japan. Just the broth alone takes 3 days to make and when you taste it you'll understand. There is a sense of pride the way they carry themselves, they know about their product from server to cook. Its hard to describe it but you just know when you walked in and every employee out loud greets you in japanese that you are in for a great food experience. Wear the loose pants coz you gonna have to loosen your belt 1 - 2 notches...This vid reminded me that its been a long time since i visited them..... as in 1 week ago 😊
